- Boil the pasta.
- Add oil in a pan and start cooking the meat with the chopped onions for about 5-6 minutes.
- Add the tomato paste and mix very well.
- Add the curry powder if used along with the mixed vegetables.
- SCAUCE:
- Melt butter at medium heat.
- Add the flour a little at a time and mix quickly before it forms lumps.
- Add the milk and mix continuesly.
- Add slices of cheddar cheese. And keep stirring.
- Add a pinch of thyme and add as much salt as you like.
- PUT IT ALL TOGETHER:
- Pre- heat oven 180 C.
- In a rectangular glass dish add half the amount of pasta.
- Then add the minced meat and spread evenly.
- Add the other half of the pasta.
- Then, layer the whole thing with the bachemel scauce…. Make sure that you get some scauce at the edges so that the pasta isnt dry from the edges.
- Put in the oven for about 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned from the top.
- Serve with delicious salad.
